Research on seamless image stitching based on fast marching method

Abstract Image stitching is an important way to achieve large‐field high‐resolution imaging. The inconsistencies in brightness and structure defects ghosting, blurring misalignment between images, which are inevitable difficult eliminate, make a challenge image stitching, due the external lighting environment changes camera pose parameters. Here, novel method proposed search for optimal seamline based on fast marching method, can stitch large parallax images with high quality. A feature weight map first formed similarity colour, edge, texture saliency of images. Then it used as cost value by method. results show that this new more efficient reduce defects, such chromatic aberration, realize quality compared traditional tools methods, provides perspective technology.
